I want to revisit a topic I've covered before.
The power of words.
The power of words.
I feel like the last time I had this on my mind it was from the perspective of hurtful words. That we need to be mindful of how our words could negatively effect others. But now, I feel God pressing on my heart to look at it from a whole new perspective.
The last few months have been a struggle. I've said it a thousand times. So to say that I have been in desperate need of encouragement would be an understatement.
Today, God knew how much I needed to feel loved and like I belonged. He delivered in a big way. Its hard to remember when you're facing hard things, that you're not the only person who has ever been through those kinds of hard times. I've been feeling like an island lately. Like all the people around me can't see me, can't understand what is happening in my life. God knows. He always understands and He ALWAYS sees me. I've been scared, lost, hurt and a slew of other emotions. This morning God reminded me that I am HIS! I belong to Him! He gave me the courage to step up and ask for guidance.
The point is, words are powerful. Use them wisely. Try to always show love when you speak. You never know when just one simple word of encouragement can change someone's outlook on life. It happened to me.
